Christmas on Main Street !! The Old Fashioned Christmas in Roberta Event and Every first Saturday in December!
It will be a wonderful time for all children of any age on December 5, 2015 beginning at 10 am with craft vendors offering one of kind Christmas gifts until 4:30 or informational or set ups to aid in gift giving. Shops will be open and what fun it will be just to stop and visit with family and friends.
All day you are invited to join us for a warm up at the Train depot for cookies and a hot beverage and enjoy the decorations on “Main Street” Roberta. This year Old Fashioned Christmas in Roberta’s theme will be “Christmas on Main Street”!
At 4:30 strike up the band because a parade next on the all day agenda will be the best! Grand Marshals will be leaders of Crawford County with our own President and Vice President on our float. For all float and parade application please contact Patti Temple at 478-836-3825 or come by the office, 39 Wright Ave. Roberta, GA.
Red, green silver and gold are sure to be the display on a beautifully decorated “Great Tree” awaiting its first lighting later in the evening but not to worry you may still have your picture taken with Santa for your keepsake with the “Great Tree” in the background. By the way, tell him what your Christmas wish will be.
Caroling by the Lewis Praise Team will follow bring everyone to the deck of the chamber of commerce or better known as the Train Depot! A welcome by President David McLeighton and special invocation to welcome all for our evening agenda. And that agenda is full! Carolers and of course Children’s Choir will preform before Roberta Evangelical Church Youth preform our Christmas Story Nativity.
The night is still young when our Praise Team carols everyone back to the Depot for the reading of the Night Before Christmas and wait for it…Here comes Santa and he will assist our Crawford County 4-H to light up the Great Tree donated by Georgia Power Company! Then our grand old elf … Santa will sit and listen to each child’s wish. When the last wish is heard and only then will it be said…Merry Christmas to ALL and to ALL GOODNIGHT!
