Christmas in Roberta Every First Saturday in December

Roberta Christmas Celebration is always well attended and we have a truly great time in our community! This years event is scheduled for the first Saturday in December-December 2, 2017.
Again craft and varied vendors will be invited and encouraged to come offering beautiful one of a kind gifts beginning at noon until 4:30 pm. At 4:30 our traditional Christmas Parade of floats, businesses, and organizations will begin staged and ready to roll providing excitement. Be assured after the parade you and your children will have fun building a snowman…Southern Style. Ribbons and small donated prizes for three places will be awarded by judges outside the chamber.
“Christmas comes but once a year, support your local chamber and bring good cheer! Then put jingle in your pocket by taking a chance at the Fifty/Fifty Raffle Drawing. Winner will be drawn on Dec. 2, during our festivities. Tickets may be purchased by anyone at Chamber Office or contacting our board members for a $5 ticket and 6 for $25…hmmm it could be maybe $1000. What a Christmas!
Our Crawford County Historical Society will have a “Ribbon Cutting” on the steps at the Balcos House donated to CCHS by Dr. Orlando Balcos in memory of his wife. This beautiful old building will become a museum with gift shop! The gift shop will be open that night for those who want to have a keep sake gift of history to give to someone special.
Caroling and Santa are visiting again this year and we are hoping everyone brings the children of all ages. A very loving Nativity extravaganza, presented this year by Roberta Methodist Church group. Following the Nativity, our lighting of the Great Tree and last visit with Santa. Then it is home for all and a wish from the Roberta Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful Christmas and a hope for a wonderful 2018 for all our families, schools, businesses, agriculture businesses and industries and moving forward in a bright future for all Crawford County. Make your wish come true by shaking the first hand you see today and make it a habit to say have a great day with a smile to all.
For all those guys and ladies out there who are DAWG fans…our TV’s will be on in our Chamber Office to see all the game in the Playoff between Georgia and Auburn…GO DAWGS!
