Yearly Awards presented at Georgia Jug Festival 2021 Congratulations to all of  our 2020 Awards recipients

Individual of the year Judy Samuels 

Judy Samuels received the award recognizing the many hours provide over the year giving back to the community and especially the Crawford County Health Department. Her consideration of people and projects requiring time, funding, and distribution mounted in the thousands of hours.

Youth of the Year

Awarded to Olivia Yaughn . The Crawford County senior was admired at the ability she was able to provide her time to assist in so many ways and the accumulation of volunteer hours assisting many people and organizations.

Group of the Year

Awarded to Volunteers of the CC Health Department, for the countless hours and days providing services for the pandemic vaccinations clinics throughout the year for the health department.  Lee Samuels, Ashley O’Neal, Sharon Lizotte, Donnie Griffis, Rick Sharon, Ashton Smith and Carol Foster for the days and hours working to assure COVID 19 vaccinations were given to all.

Youth Group of the Year

Awarded to the School Bands for on call and demand performances for so many occasions and meetings, parades, Chamber of Commerce requests and other clubs or organization requests during the year. Their talents were use to celebrate and added to the celebration. Their reward was a thank you and was gratefully accepted.

Business of the Year

Roberta Drugs is the recipient of this award for their never ending process to serve those who were unable to leave their homes or come to the door because of the pandemic this year. Josh Patterson and Tyler Young have assured the community free delivery and curbside pick-up. At the time of need, the pharmacy put on another hat providing vaccinations for those qualifying. The company provides service to all customers beyond what is needed.

Annual Meeting and Awards Gala did not occur because of COVID and CDC directives. This presentation was held to recognized our 2020 Awards at the 16th Georgia Jug Festival Celebration on May 15, 2021.

All of the individuals and Businesses have been awarded with honors for their demonstration of leadership in their communities, community support and works preformed, use of time talents and treasures to provide a positive atmosphere in our community.
